It is an honor to announce Able Moving & Storage’s 2022 scholarship recipient, Kennedy Alston. As a young woman in the Fairfax County area, Ms. Alston faced coming-of-age challenges yet overcame these hurdles through perseverance and personal commitment. These values were more than evident in her scholarship essay. The team at Able Moving recognizes their responsibility to acknowledge such individuals, and we were humbled to read about Ms. Alton’s experiences.
Hailing from the Fairfax County area, Ms. Alston graduated from South Lakes High School in June of 2022. She is a determined student with many achievements, activities, and volunteer efforts—including the National Honor Society, All District Cheerleading, Mentoring Program at South Lakes, Psychology Club, and work experience at the Sunset Hills Montessori School—already under her belt. Ms. Alston recently started her Freshman year at Tulane University and we wish her all the best.
By sharing Ms. Alston’s story, we hope to empower more individuals to apply for future opportunities at Able Moving. We will continue to assist ambitious individuals by awarding scholarships and encouraging students of all backgrounds to take advantage of the opportunities before them!
