We are honored to announce Able Moving & Storage’s 2023 scholarship recipient, Serenity Wade. As described below, Ms. Wade has capitalized on many opportunities by pursuing them with tenacity and excelling in diverse activities. She has also supported her community through volunteer work during high school and college. Able’s team wishes to recognize Ms. Wade’s diligence by encouraging her pursuit of higher education.
Although they spent her infant years in Italy, Ms. Wade’s family raised her primarily in Jacksonville, FL. She attended the Paxon School for Advanced Studies, which hosts one of Florida’s best AP math and science programs. Ms. Wade excelled there as a National Honor Society Member, Senior Class Vice President, Paxon Army JROTC Commander, Track and Field State Champion in the 4×100 relay, and Track and Field Captain. After graduating from Paxon, Ms. Wade enrolled at Hampton University, where she just completed her first year of a Kinesiology degree and is about to begin her sophomore year. Able Moving wishes her the best in all her future endeavors!
Through Ms. Wade’s story, we hope to inspire more individuals and spur them to apply for Able Moving’s assistance. We will continue to provide opportunities by awarding scholarships and encouraging students of all backgrounds to pursue the possibilities before them!
